Student-to-student:
Proven to be a successful educational concept
Our dynamic learning environment is designed to maximise the hours we spend working, with small group student-to-student tutoring from our young tutors providing an inimitable environment. As well as giving you a sound grasp of your subject, we prepare you for independent revision, and in doing so get to the bottom of worries that can cause stress and anxiety.
Because our tutors are young and keen to help, you will find yourself encouraged to ask more questions, identify more problem areas, and ultimately to push yourself further than you would in your normal working environment.
Recent experience of having sat and mastered the IB exams means that our tutors have a heightened understanding of your needs as an IB student – and the experience of achieving the grades remains fresh in our tutors’ memories.
We have found that past pupils have responded well to teaching from tutors who were near in age to them, and who could understand the questions students posed, and the problems they faced. And as outstanding graduates, our tutors have proven that they have knowledge-base and the techniques necessary to really excel at the IB exams.
Our tutors are passionate about what they teach and about the teaching itself - pragmatic rather than dogmatic, innovative rather than conservative. This approach complements school teaching, providing that all-important fresh perspective for you, the student. Working on their own class plans which are adapted for each group, the tutor can also bring their own personal experience to the table, resulting in a course that concentrates a multitude of unique teaching strata into its two days.
They can also offer you guidance on your next step, from the perspective of current students at top universities around the world, and can answer questions about the university experience that will rarely be accessible elsewhere.
Over the six years we have been in operation, this concept has been proven time and again as an invaluable experience on our pupils’ way to graduation, offering them the opportunity to be taught by exceptional IB graduates, and culminating in improved exam performance. Continuous assessment of all the tutors’ performance enables us to maintain our meticulous high standards.
This is a valuable opportunity. After all, you only get one shot at the examination. Why not make it your very best?
